Only one more week to go!
If you’ve read my last post than you already know. I’ve entered the MS Mega Challenge to raise money for people with Multiple Sclerosis. Since I can no longer compete on the sports field – I’ll be competing in front of my sewing machine! This post is my MS Mega Sew Challenge 2022 update.
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been preparing myself ready for the start of the challenge. I’ve created a blog page on the MS Mega Challenge website. This is where you can donate and show support. At the moment I’m updating it every week with my preparation progress.
So far I’ve managed to choose the fabric’s I’ll be using to make the Sunshine Crossbody Pouch. I actually put it to a vote and fabric set B came out on top. It was by far everyone’s favourite! Now I’ve got all my pattern pieces cut out and interfaced.
The selection of bag hardware was much easier to make. Luckily I had some denim zipper tape in my stash already. Because I think it goes perfectly with the contrasting denim fabric. 👌 The flower zipper heads also tie in with the Jocelyn Proust Banksia Grove fabric. I just love them all together.
There are still a few things I need to do. I’m aiming to film the whole challenge live on my Pedlar Creative facebook page. If I pull it off as planned than you should be able to pop in and see me as I complete the challenge. So I still need to do some testing and setting up for this to happen.
One week to go! I’ve got a lot to do in the next week to be completely prepared. Definitely happy with where I am at. Although the nerves are starting to creep in a bit. Thank you to those who have already sponsored me in my MS Mega Sew Challenge 2022. If you want to donate to this great cause – you’ve still got time. 😊
