You always have your favourites…
And one of my all time favourite makes is Noodlehead’s Canvas Pencil Pouch! So much that I’ve already written several blogs about this tutorial in the past. If you haven’t seen Paige’s or Jayden’s Pencil Pouch it’s well worth a look. The fabric that my sister-in-law Anne-Marie picked was just perfect for a Canvas Pencil Pouch!👌
The Canvas Pencil Pouch tutorial is by Noodlehead. And the best part about it? It’s free! So if you haven’t tried this pattern I can highly recommend it. I’ve now made one for all of my nieces and nephews. Plus a few friends and myself – of course!
This tutorial is aimed with beginners in mind. There are plenty of pictures to accompany the instructions. The only part you might find daunting is installing a zipper but don’t worry Anna explains it perfectly! So it’s a nice quick make for the more experienced bagineers. Plus it requires minimal materials – things I had in my sewing stash already. Don’t worry, the embroidered lettering is something extra I added.
What’s my favourite thing about this pattern? It can be made for adults or children. Admittedly I did make a small adjustment to the size by adding an extra inch to the height. Just for the kids, because they all love to draw. Also I decided to omit the accent fabric- that way I could easily fit my iron-on lettering.
I don’t think there’s anything else to say – other than thank-you Anna! I absolutely love your Canvas Pencil Pouch tutorial. You can probably tell by how often I write about it. Or maybe I should say – how often I make one?
