A Cracker Surprise…
This is the last post (I swear!) on the many gifts of Christmas. This week I wanted to show you the Key Fob Wristlets that I made for last year’s Christmas Crackers. Making the families’ Christmas Crackers is always a lot of fun and I think everyone likes handmade gifts.
I found this tutorial for key fob wristlets on Pellon’s website. If you haven’t had a browse at their project page it’s well worth it. They do have some great free projects and a with a good range of skill levels (beginner to advanced). This project is very easy and it takes no time at all to make (half an hour). There are also pictures to accompany the instructions which is always good. You might need to purchase the hardware and interfacing but you should be able to source them from a local craft store or online. I got the key fob hardware from eBay (a great source if you can’t buy locally). You can also use the smallest amount of scrap fabric. One that you love and can’t stand to throw away!
What I love about this kind of project is that key fob wristlets are very useful. I’m already getting reports of how people are using them. Going to the pool, attached to the pram etc. The end result? I can happily say that last year’s Christmas Crackers were a huge success!
Looks like a great project!
