A Year In View…
What a year it has been! Since 2018 is coming to an end I’ve been reviewing my goals and achievements. I’ve definitely hit some of my goals for this year!
One of the biggest things I achieved this year was the launching of my brand and website Pedlar Creative! I also opened my online store with Etsy. These have been pretty big projects. I’ve had to leave my sewing machine behind and learn a lot about website building. A lot of challenges but it’s also been a lot of fun!
Sewing, sewing and more sewing has been a major feature. I finished off quite a few bags this year including Noodlehead’s Envelope Clutch and Forage Bag. Lisa Lam’s Geek-Chic iPad Case was a nice challenge as well. I still really love that coffee cup fabric!
I created a couple of tutorials throughout the year – a zipper pouch and a winter scarf tutorial. These are both available on my site for free so I hope you take a look and make something amazing for yourself!
I learnt quite a few new skills during my time in RMIT’s sewing course. I got to make a pair of PJ Pants and two skirts. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to do the course – I learnt a lot of new skills and I’m hoping its just the beginning for me and sewing clothes.
This year has had it’s ups and downs and it’s own unique challenges. But I also think I’ve achieved a few big goals and I’m really looking forward to what 2019 might bring!
Well done, Dee! You have certainly achieved a lot in 2018. I used your winter scarf tutorial to make myself and Stephen scarves and now Lloyd and Gina have asked me to make them ones too! Sewing is definitely lots of fun and satisfies a creative urge within.
All the best for 2019 and I look forward to following your new projects.
Thanks Kelly, it was definitely a very busy year! I’m so glad you like my Winter Scarf tutorial. Stephen looks very smart in his! I’d love to see the versions that you make for Lloyd and Gina.
Thank-you for reading and enjoying my blog.
Dee xx
