Adding that professional look…
So after working on my snap tutorial for the last couple of weeks I’ve finally finished! Yay! I’ve added it to the new techniques page that I have created so it can be easily found in the menu under tutorials. I absolutely love snaps. I think adding snaps to your bags or clothing just gives it a more professional look. They also add a lot of function.

The tutorial I’ve put together shows you how to install a snap using a DK93 hand press machine. You can purchase these from Kam Snaps and they have them on sale at the moment! I purchased one a couple of years ago and it’s been so useful. It not only installs snaps but can also install rivets and eyelets if you have the correct dies. It’s a little bit expensive but I think it’s well worth the money if you think you’ll use it. There are also many other tools available for installing snaps. So if you would like a seperate tutorial on how to use some of those just let me know.

As an added bonus the tutorial shows you how I make the leather cable ties I sell in my Etsy shop. They are super easy to make and are extremely useful! I know I’m going to be making a few for my trip to Europe (in a couple of months! Exciting!) with all the cables I need to take.
